Garuda's search for Amrita, the elixir of life. Garuda's mother Vinata lost a bet against the Kadru, as a result of the bet, Vinata became a slave to Kadru and her serpent sons. To release his enslaved mother, Garuda made a deal with his snake stepbrothers that, he would bring them amrita, which was fiercely guarded by two giant snakes.
